Branding & Logo Design

Client Brief

When Palmer and Louise took over Supper Central, they also inherited its outdated branding, but due to its familiarity to their customers, they kept using it. But the problem was that it wasn’t theirs.
They wanted a re-brand with something new, modern, and (most importantly) their own!
And while they came to us with an open mind, they knew they definitely didn’t want any more forks and knives.

Creative Solution

Our team presented them with several very different options, ranging from classic to avant-garde. Ultimately, they chose a clean and modern look inspired by subway stations. A pot to replace the ‘U’ in the word ‘Supper’ for a playful and unique touch.
We also created extra versions of the pot to use as icons and patterns, helping to increase brand visibility.

After a variety of colour palette options, Louise and Palmer settled on a scheme inspired by comfort food – while still having a ‘collegiate’ vibe that represents Supper Central’s mission to educate. All while continuing to make cooking filling and fun!

Package Design – Fresh Kits

Client Brief

Supper Central has two product lines that needed to be distinctive enough while remaining consistent with their new branding. Their fresh kits change quite frequently, so they were looking for something generic yet eye-catching.

Creative Solution

They decided on the concept that turned their iconic pot into the bag itself, with a pot shaped window on the front of the packaging to highlight their delicious food.
This style of packaging was able to tackle two things at once, generating interest and developing recognition.

Social Media

Client Brief

With her new branding, Palmer produced local decals for their delivery van and canvas totes with the pot pattern on the side. But she felt that Supper Central’s social media just wasn’t up to speed.
She was also taking great photos but needed somewhere to share them, as well as a platform for announcements, menus and updates.

Creative Solution

Our team created numerous Canva templates and custom highlight covers, and Palmer was off and posting in no time!
With brand colours inspired by comfort food, text posts fit seamlessly with Palmers beautiful food photos. Creating a feed that looks delicious and professional (warning, don’t view on an empty stomach!).

Now that Rootree has armed Supper Central with unique branding, beautiful packaging, and professional looking social media, they’re ready to feed all of Winnipeg!
